Has anyone done the math yet on how many blue-collar, low income jobs are going to be lost due to the NBA season being cancelled?

Essentially, all of the vendors, ushers, and security details at these arenas are now unemployed, or at the very least, losing the majority of their income for the next year because NBA players want, no wait, NEED, to make 7-8 million dollars on average per season, as opposed to a pithy 5 million.

I’m sure the players are sad to have to say goodbye to their vacation homes, but the impact their greed is having on the (not to sound cliché) other 99% of this country is the real tragedy.

The only upside is now that the athletes have to scratch around the advertising market for money, we’ll get to see 49 new commercials of Blake Griffin jumping over things.
